Guillermo Adrian joined Primero Mining in August 2013 as General Manager of the San Dimas Mine and had an enormous impact on not only the operations and the production of the mine, but on the team and the culture of everyone he worked with. Those who were fortunate to know him, remember the big and ever present smile on his face, his zest for life, and the enormous energy that propelled him in everything he did, both professionally and personally. He is especially remembered for the love he had for his big family and many friends.

Guillermo was an advocate of employee engagement and communications and had the ability to bring out the best in his teams by empowering them. Above all else, he believed the safety of the team at San Dimas was most important. As a leader, he was genuine, heartfelt and caring. He was passionate about giving back to the community he worked in, and was extremely proud of the Corporate Responsibility efforts implemented at San Dimas and the contributions that were made to the adjacent town of Tayoltita.

Born and raised in Venezuela, Guillermo worked in various countries including Canada, Colombia, Venezuela, Brazil, Switzerland, Guinea and Hungary. In February of 2016 his efforts and achievements were recognized by Primero and he was promoted to Vice President, Operations.
